I just gave you all of the companies that I know of that test on animals... but if you really want to know whether the company tests on animals or not, you should try researching the company of the shampoo that you want to buy. Usually shampoos say that they aren't tested on animals if they aren't.

If you go to Whole Foods or any other organic store, they should carry alot of shampoos that don't test on animals. :)What brands of Shampoo are tested on animals?
Sorry! I meant to give you 5 stars and accidently gave you 3. ): Report Abuse

procter and gamble support animal testing
Aussie Shampoo?
umm none they have ones for animals
Nuetrogena, anything from procter and gamble, clairol, johnson and johnson... almost anything, really. Here is a site that lists some.

Caring consumer is pretty good for info like that.

Note: I am not a PETA person. I love animals, but not to the point of embarrasment. I am low key. Anyway, PETA has shelters that kill extra animals like most others, so they are famous, but not that great for some things.
All of them. The ones that say 'non animal tested' are not tested as a finished product, but the ingredients have been tested before being added to the finished product. It's a gimmick, so don't believe it for a second. If you happened to find a product that was genuinely and completely without animal testing, it would state warnings to your about using it and not holding them responsible in the case of a serious reaction. I've look high and low and have yet to find a product that was 100% valid. By law they CAN state that they are animal test free as long as THEY don't test the finished product. The law allows that the ingredients used to make the product can be tested before they receive them.

The only thing you can do is make some yourself from herbs and roots to be sure there was no testing performed on ANY of the ingredients OR the finished product. Be careful though, and test it on yourself first to make sure it doesn't cause a serious skin reaction when you use it.
