Favorite brands of shampoo and conditioner?

I'm hoping to grow my hair out quicker, and to keep it healthier.





I've heard that Pantene is damaging to hair due to its wax content. So, I'd like to switch shampoo brands.


Any recommendations?

Anything from the drugstore is not good for your hair. Pantene doesn't damage your hair, but due to it's high silicone content it creates ';build-up'; of silicone on your hair to make it softer. Pantene is safe to use as long as you wash with a clarifying shampoo once a week.





Herbal essences is good to use for a once-a-week clarifying shampoo because it completely strips your hair and cleans it out by using an excessive amount of ammonium lauryl sulfate. Herbal essences is more damaging to your hair because it strips the hair of natural oils instead of just ';coating'; the strand with silicone.





If you have the bucks it's a good idea to spend money on your shampoo by getting a salon quality brand. The pH is balanced in salon quality shampoos so it will neither strip nor coat your hair, it simply keeps it healthy. Matrix is a great brand and I highly recommend their products. Sunsilk shampoo (either the imports from Philippines or that Americanized version) is my choice of shampoo. They have a TLC shampoo that's good for damaged hair. Also, Garnier Fructis.
I use sexycurlyhair.


Its the curly form for bigsexyhair.


It works really nice for me. My boyfriends sister is a hair stylist at Stewarts and she reccomended it for me.


But the bigsexyhair products/line is really good!
