What brand of shampoo is best for hair growing and thickening?

I have a very thin hair. I want it to be more thicker so I can put some bangs. What brand of shampoo is best for hair growing and thickening?
j/a/s/o/n/s naturals - thin to thick maybe. It has biotin in it which aids in thickening hair. I havent tried it. I would try massaging with 100% aloe vera gel on your scalp daily. It helped my hair grow..honestly.

What kind brand shampoo sets you like to use and buy from the stores?

and do you use the same shampoo everyday or even had try different kinds brands .What kind brand shampoo sets you like to use and buy from the stores?
I always have these 3 varieties in my home:

1 - Sunsilk: I get the ';Anti-Poof'; for my hair. I like how they customized it for what you need, it's cheap and leaves hair shiney.

2 - Tresseme: Forgive the spelling. It's my husbands favorite and sells in large quantities. Very nice.

3 - Suave: The Cocoanut type. It smells good and is cheap. Nice to alternate. What kind brand shampoo sets you like to use and buy from the stores?
I love aussie and garnier frutis. Garnier REALLY brings out the color in your hair and makes it soft, cuz it's got all those good natural oils and vitamins! :)
Pantene makes my hair shiny and soft. It works much better for me than the expensive salon brands.
i use so many different brands of shampoo but my favorite is nexxus for shampoo but conditioner my fav is aussie 3 minute miracle
i love garnier fructis, the best shampoo ever!!

i do try other brands, and i recently tried Sunsilk's Straightening Shampoo and i liked that one a lot too
i use and like tresemme moisture rich

have aussie 3 min miracle treatment

and have try hebal essence body envy like it alot jsut drys out hair alittle
Hmm... I prefer using DOVE shampoo and conditioner but you can try other kinds!
i like the garnier system. Herbal essence is good too.
a lot of shampoo brands like Suave, Dove, VO5, and Pert Plus contain “bad” ingredients.

which means it contains:

Sodium Lauryl Sulfate

Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate

Ammonium Laureth Sulfate

Ammonium Xylene Sulfonate

TEA Lauryl Sulfate

Sulfur (in dandruff shampoos)

Selenium Sulfide (in dandruff shampoos)

those ingredients above can cause cancer.

so if can, i suggest better avoid to use those syampoo that contain “bad” ingredients.
Panten Pro-V it costly but I swear by it... I got naturally good hair but this stuff makes it soooooooooooo much better
VS *vidal sasoon. - from supermarkets. use everyday

seldom other brands- like lux, dove, sunsilk, palmolive!!

Does anyone know some brands of shampoo and conditioner the celebrities use? thanks?

Yes, I know this directly...

The number one shampoo used by the celebs you probably care about is:

John Masters ORGANICS..there are 3 types

all excellent

A number of the girls also use and love

PUREOLOGY NANOworks it retails for $52.00! they have loads of money and want the best.

this shampoo has the highest technology I've seen - it works in the ';nano-technology'; field...which means the ';actives'; in the product are delivered to the hair via nano technology...oh forget it there is no easy way to explain it...trust me its great and it does work

JUST MAKE SURE the shampoo you use is ';SULFATE-FREE'; that is imperative...everyone must get used to reading labels....If it says Sodium Lauryl Sulfate in the ingredient list %26gt; DO NOT BUY IT! period, not if you want to keep your hair on your head.

Personally %26amp; I have access to anything, I use John Masters I love the way its made - how its made - and what is in it....as well as my hair ( very long Red with blonde ribbons) rocks after using it.

Conditioners%26gt; The theory in the upper echelons of hair has changed....and it will take a while to get down to the masses...but........

one of the bigger problems for people has become too much weight in their hair...why......too much conditioning build-up%26gt; that doesn't work anyway....

The new Shampoo Regimen?

Shampoo with a SULFATE-FREE Shampoo

%26amp; ONLY if your hair needs detangling

followed by a spray detangler - KENRA'S rox

1-2-3-4 times a month use a deep conditioner that is left on overnight.

Many use the one I designed ';THRIVEN';

another excellent one (celeb secret) you can find online:

KERACARE's HUMECTO Creme Conditioner

Kenra's Shea butter conditioner is very light but excellentDoes anyone know some brands of shampoo and conditioner the celebrities use? thanks?
its surprising how many of them actually use horse shampoo 0_0 and probably the really expensive ones lolDoes anyone know some brands of shampoo and conditioner the celebrities use? thanks?
Not for celebrities. But here are some GREAT ONES!

-HERBAL ESSCENCES DANGEROUSLY STRAIGHT

Good Luck!!

Is switching shampoo/conditioner brands bad?

is switching shampoo/conditioner brands like in one week bad for your hair?Is switching shampoo/conditioner brands bad?
It shouldn't be bad unless you switch to a shampoo that's not for your hair type. In fact, it is sometimes recommended to switch brands after a few months, although not necessary. It should be okay as long as it does not have damaging ingredients.

(Clarifying shampoos are also recommended to be used either once a week, or monthly)

Good hair brands? (shampoo, conditioner)?

i need some brands that help damage cuz i straighten my hair a lot. i need some brands that hydrate hair tooGood hair brands? (shampoo, conditioner)?
I use vive because i straighten my hair everyday so as you can imagine it gets damaged and the kind i use it in a light pink bottle and it says for medium to long hair thats damaged and that works really well. and also bed head works really good but i can only find that at hair salons and its extremyl over priced!!Good hair brands? (shampoo, conditioner)?
you should buy nexxus karaphix(may be spelled wrong) i straighten my hair almost every day and whenever i use it my hair is soft and silky. you can get it at the market or any drug store or beauty supply. they don't sell it at target tho. also try the garnier fructis 3 minute deep conditioning. do that once a week. also do v05 hot oil treatments which can be found at target.do those like every 3 weeks. And before u straighten ALWAYS use heat protectant. i suggest proclaim. U can get it at sallys beauty supply and it in a reddish bottle and is like $6. The bottle has a lot in it so it is a good deal. use before and after straightening and or blowdrying. Also make sure you are using a ceramic straightener if u r constantly straightening. it is better for your hair
this sounds cheap and crappy but works. Suave.

buy the suave professional silk and sleek in the orange bottle. use the shampoo and conditioner. also try the treseme new straightening line. the spray and gel work wonderfully! it makes your hair so soft and easy to straighten.
i say tressem茅, it always works. it has a good consistency and really conditions from root to tip. Personally i would choose the sleek range, it's very nice smelling and is great for repairing damaged hair.
Tresseme is great. I straighten my hair every day, and my hair isn't dry at all. And if you have dyed hair (mine is pink) it doesn't make it fade. It's pretty cheap too and doesn't test on animals =]
Bumble and bumble has a great shampoo and conditioner: Gentle Shampoo and Super Rich Conditioner. Use these daily plus a weekly treatment of Bumble and bumble Deep will get your hair back into shape!
Biolage Hydrating Shampoo %26amp; follow up with Biolage Conditioning Balm. They're both amazing products %26amp; smell great, too.
On the more pricey side, I would suggest Chi and Redken. On the less expensive side, I would suggest Sunsilk and Tresemme.
Paul Mitchell and Joico and Biolage are the best.

But they can't be purchased at cheap drugstores or anything, if they are there-then they're fake
Try sunsilk hydroge TLC. Its hydrates and repairs damaged hair.
herbal essenses works nice i like the orange bottle

  • What is the best shampoo and conditioner for wavy hair most brands seem to relax my waves?

I am currently studying at Paul Mitchell The School and I am on the product rep team. I know quite a bit about hair products and have some advice. Most people just go to the store and pick up the cheapest product. If you want a product that really works. Go professional. I did my own test over the past few years and have tried probably a hundred different store bought lines and a couple professional lines. I am going to Paul Mitchell because I honestly found it to be far far better than any other shampoos or conditioners. Go to a local salon and buy the pro stuff. It may be expensive but it works! They are guaranteed so if you don't like it, take it back. Try TIGI or Paul Mitchell. But Don't buy the fake stuff from the grocery store. It may look the same, but it is not! I promise. If your set on the cheap stuff go ahead and try Aussie one girl said she uses. It's an ok brand, I've tried it. But avoid John Frieda cause it tend to have an off balance pH and damages your hair. And the Head and Shoulders stuff is probably the worst kind out there! It creates a dependency and dries your scalp out worse than before you used it. Aside from the shamp/cond try using curl enhancing products, like gels, blow dryer diffusers, and hairsprays. If you have any other questions, you can email me anytime.

pantene pro-v or garnier frutcusWhat is the best shampoo and conditioner for wavy hair most brands seem to relax my waves?
can you parlay having relaxed waves into a reason to go on living ?
I have wavy/curly long hair. I use Aussie Dual Personality (Root Cleanser + Tip Mender). It rinses clean from my roots (which is what weighs hair down) and helps hydrate my dry ends. It's not just the shampoo/conditioner that you need though. I have a curl spray that helps to keep my curls bouncy and light, also.
    john frieda shampoos and cond.
You need to find a good volumizing shampoo, try head and sholders, yes its a dandruf shampoo however its got all the igreadents to add alot of volum to your hair.

What Shampoo Brand In The Phil. Can Make My Hair Grow Long Fast?

hi im from the Philippines and i wanted to know what shampoo brand in the phil could make my hair grow faster because im making my hair longer but i want to grow fast so could you pls tell me what shampoo brand that is available in the phil that could make my hair grow faster? What Shampoo Brand In The Phil. Can Make My Hair Grow Long Fast?
shampoo cant really make your hair grow. but if you use conditioner in place of shampoo, your hair will be moisturized and healthy, which in turn will make it grow. just stop the breakage. if your hair isnt breaking, then its probably growing at its full potential. What Shampoo Brand In The Phil. Can Make My Hair Grow Long Fast?
no shampoo can do that. hair only grows a half inch a month. if you want long hair the best thing you can do is keep it healthy so it doesn't break off, but nothing will make it grow faster.

Is salon brands of shampoo that much better than the stuff you buy at the grocery store?

The brands such as Biolage, Sexyhair, ect. over Suave, DoveIs salon brands of shampoo that much better than the stuff you buy at the grocery store?
I wouldn't get the knock-off kind. Just go to like Salley hanson or some other beuty place and buy those brands. they'relike three dollars cheeper. i hoped i helpedIs salon brands of shampoo that much better than the stuff you buy at the grocery store?
i have very dry, thick and coarse hair. and i color my hair. i have tried everything from the salon or boutique and everything from the supermarket. i have found good products in both places.
well my hair has been black to blonde....i know i know

i ruined my hair but the hairdressers products are great they dont have added sillicon to just coat the hair their products truely fix the hair....trust me!!!! but if you were to get one from the supermarket i use tresseme

Could anyone recomend a shampoo brand for grooming?

I am about to start a mobile grooming business and have no idea where to start with the shampoo and conditioner. I have always worked for other groomers, but find all of their products harsh and over powering in smell. I wanted to lean towards a more natural product that will also work well with a hydro surge as I know from experience not all shampoos flow easily through the system. If there are any professional groomers who could suggest any brands that work well it would be wonderfulCould anyone recomend a shampoo brand for grooming?
To keep from hurting the animal, use a brand of shampoo that is ';no tears'; . This makes shampooing easier as you don't have to worry about soap in their eyes.Could anyone recomend a shampoo brand for grooming?
    www.groomstar.com
Well, as u may know, there are many different kinds of shampoo. I think that it is a good idea to have natural products, but make sure that you have different kinds of shampoo, like ones for dry skin and sensitive skin. I do know of one kind that i think is called earth care. Any way, good luck!
    Nova Pearls
The shampoo's we use where i work is made by the company ';Kelco industries';. All their shampoo's and conditioners are completely all natural. www.KelcoShampoo.com

The other shampoo's i've used is ';Biogroom'; these shampoo's and conditioners are made with all natural ingredients also. www.biogroom.com
I'm not a professional groomer, but what if you gave the owner an option on which shampoo they wanted to use on their dogs?

What is the best smelling shampoo/conditioner brand for normal hair?

Herbal essence it the sent lasts in my hair for 3 days.

Then i just wash it again and it lasts for another 3 days and whenever i am sitting next to someone or hug someone they always comment on how nice it smells i defiantly think you should try it.What is the best smelling shampoo/conditioner brand for normal hair?
It isnt for normal hair it's for coloured but that doesnt really matter

but this is my favourite smell

Timotei Cherry cotton shampoo and conditioner

smells of cherrys for ages even when straightened and blowdried

makes your hair smooth and shiny

and the smell is just amazing

    it's really cheap

The new bottle shape thingy ones.

    They smell gorgeous.

There's loads of different types for different hair.

Herbal essences is around $2 or 拢2 a bottle - Depends where you buy it from.

Tigi Bed Head - Is really good too.

But it's a little on the expensive side.

    拢13 a bottle.
Biolage...it's available from the salon and isn't much more expensive than store bought shampoos....and it's fantastic!!
Gee your hair smells terrific...no joke thats the name lawlz google it ..it has to be ordered i beleive..it might be at sm novelty shops
Aveda!! It is organic and smells soooo good.
I love love pantene. It about 3-4 dollars at walmart

Do you have to use matching shampoo and conditioner, or can you mix brands?

I mix!Do you have to use matching shampoo and conditioner, or can you mix brands?
You don't have to, i always mix brands b/c my hair gets too used to one type so i have to mix them upDo you have to use matching shampoo and conditioner, or can you mix brands?
u can mix, but i match since it works well for my hair it doesnt matter, as long as the shampoo and conditioner is somehting that will keep your hair healthy, frizzy or puffy
i mix 2 theirs nothing wrong wit it
No i just read in a magazine that it's fine to mix brands. It's actually good to do. You should never use the same shampoo/condit for a long period of time. It's better to mix-match them to switch it up every once in a while. (I think it was in last weeks Glamour if you don't believe me.)
i mix!!! nothing bad evere happens lol
u can mix if u want but its best to use the same brand..

i LOVE sunsilk its not expensive but its awesome!
I think, it doesn't matters. u can mix. But if u match, in my opinion, it would work a little better. I agree with Cadence.
Yes, you can mix brands to your preference!!
to get the best results they say to have the same brand...this is because the ingredients work together for the final desired look. Do i match them? Not always. Any shampoo or conditioner is generally ok to mix.

However....You do want to switch up brands after using a bottle. Your hair will become familiar with a certain product and eventually become ';stale'; for lack of a better word. To keep your hair the best it can be , after you go through a bottle swith to something else!
You can definately mix. I also alternate my shampoo and conditioner to help prevent buildup. I generally use a cheaper shampoo and a good conditioner. I will use degunkify shampoo by Herbal Essense every other day or couple of days to help with build up prevention.
It is better to use the same brand name . because they work better when they are the same brand .
You can mix and match. The only real issue might be a difference in smells.
It doesn't matter. But most shampoos and conditioners are made to compliment each other.
i mix brands all the time.

nothing has happened yet =P lol
It's definintely okay to mix brands. Use brands and types of conditioners that fit your hair texture and style. For example: for dry highlighted hair use products for chemically treated hair. It doesn't hurt to mix products at all.

But after awhile, be sure to use a clarifying shampoo to rid build up. The best one is Neutrogena Clean.

    Good luck!
you can mix brands no harm in that
    doesnt matter

    considered salon hair treatments.

I like them because.. Well it works really well

and it keeps your hair soft :DWhat is your favorite salon brand shampoo and conditioner?
HerStyler! I'd like to suggest a natural daily hair care regime - why? - to give you healthy fantastic hair all of the time!

I'd begin with HerStyler shampoo and conditioner daily and also the styling spray (if you use hair spray), the hair mask is a must (for deep conditioning and repairing dry, damaged or frizzy hair and prolonging haircolour) and also the serum is a must prior to using hair irons or blow dryers (to protect your hair during styling, make it incredibly silky, smooth and shiny and to create and hold your style all day in any weather. You will notice fantastic results immediately and so will your friends (read my 'guestbook'). When you use quality products they are very economical as you only need a tiny bit, so they go a long way.

Please visit my web-store at https://www.infashionsense.com/ and click on the ';HERSTYLER VIDEO %26amp; FAQS'; button to find out more about HerStyler natural plants-protein and olive oil hair care products composed of minerals from the dead-sea. I hope this helps!
I like Aveda. It washes your hair really good. There are lots of different styling products. I like Hang Straight Shampoo, Conditioner, and Hair Lotion. Same for Be curly. It's a really good product. If u are interested in trying it, look it up online because I only know that it's available at a salon where i live.
    definetly

I like Aussie. the trouble with hair products is that what works great for one person may not work on another.

What grocery store brand shampoo and conditioner is healthiest for my hair?

I have really fine hair...and a lot of it! It takes me at least 30 minutes just to blow it dry! It has some interesting waves but I blow it streight. Any ideas what will be best to keep it healthiest (Besides breaking the bank on salon brands)? What grocery store brand shampoo and conditioner is healthiest for my hair?
Best ones so far have been Thermasilk and Dove. They're both gentle and work really really well.

Tresemme, while they have an interesting product angle that they're a 'salon' brand, they dried my hair out like no other. Even the conditioner felt like water... although that might be good for you considering that you have finer hair than me (I have a hair like a sponge)

Try blow drying your hair on cool or warm, not hot.. because you'll dry it out and make it split even more, being that it's finer.

Also, try spreading a product (can't remember what it's called), that will protect your hair from blow drying. Your fine hair NEEDS it.. What you do is you spread in this blow-dry protector stuff through your entire hair, THEN you blow dry it, which will make it stay healthier longer.

Oh and you can also try Bumble and Bumble's defrizz stuff. I know it's a lot of money, but a little drop goes a long way and this stuff works really well. What grocery store brand shampoo and conditioner is healthiest for my hair?
None. Save up and look for sales during peak times like Mothers day, Holidays or just after a big promotion, and before another holiday. Know a stylist? Have her pick up something for you at the beauty supply. Best products picks professionally? Matrix, and Redken.
Suave does a good job in my opinion and they have a wide variety of types to select from.

You didn't ask about, but did mention having lots of fine, hard to dry hair. I find the special hair drying towels really help. I wrap my hair while drying the rest of me and dressing. When I am ready to blow dry, it goes much faster as the excess water has been absorbed.

Dove and Aussie is great! Garnier Frutis is pretty good but I don't recommend it for fine hair like yours, it's better for thicker hair.

Do NOT use Pantane products, they're absolutely horrible foryour hair.

Here's what works best for me: I use Dove shampoo, and alternate between Dove's Conditioner for colour treated hair (there's other dove conditioners, use what best describes your hair), and Aussie's Original 3 Minute Miracle. Alternating conditioners will make your hair softer and more managable.

I strongly recommend you use Dove shampoo, it contains weightless conditioners and will not leave any residue (which makes fine hair look limp, flat, and lifeless!).

Make sure you rinse your hair out very well, and use product sparingly before blow drying your hair (I recommend using a little bit of heat protectant). The more product that's in your hair the longer it takes to dry.
I have used garnier fructis in the past and it works great. I had some problems with breakage and split ends.. and it made my hair great. It can be alittle on the expensive side, however the stuff is well worth is.

I have also tried salon shampoos and i didnt think it was comparative.
I think Aussie is good and so is Garnier Fructise. My shampoo of choice (when it comes to inexpensive shampoos) is Pantene, but a lot of stylistst said that it isnt very good because it's to ';waxy'; and coats your hair. I dont get it, but it works for me. They have a lot of different lines for hair like moisture renewal, full and thick (that would be good for you, since yuor hair is fine), color protection, curls etc.. just get a trial size and see if you like it, then try another until you get the one you like

What is the best shampoo brand?

What is the best shampoo brand?

Please keep in mind that I have sensitive skin and I blow dry/straighten my hair everyday or every other day. What is the best shampoo brand?
Sunsilk Hydra TLCWhat is the best shampoo brand?
I have very fine hair and a sensative scalp. I also blow dry and straighten my hair everyday so I know the pain you are going through. I have an aunt that is a beautician and she recommended that I try Nexxus shampoo. It is a two in one shampoo and conditioner and it worked wonders on my damaged hair. It is not cheap shampoo that you can just buy at K mart or whatever. You can most likely find it at your local hair salon or beauty supply store like sally's beauty supply. I hope this will help you as much as it has helped me.
Different people look from different perspective. As for me, I love Pantene, Sunsilk, Silkpro and Herbal Essence.
Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight...it's for hair that you either want to straighten or that is already straight. Works wonders.
I'm not sure which is THE absolute best in the world (after all, I haven't tried EVERY single one. ;) ), but Sunsilk Hydra TLC works wonders for me. I've used many shampoos/conditioners and they always left my hair feeling dry/and/or brittle, however this particular brand leaves my hair feeling healthy and smooth, and I blow dry/straighten every day. :)
matrix works well (if you are on a budget) but i hear kerastase, bumble %26amp; bumble, and fekkai are great. also oscar blandi
John Masters Organics. Yummy. Good for you and good for the environment.
    I love Biolage!
i agree that Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight is great.
Ok everyone has different takes on a question like this. I myself have fought my mother and my sisters on this. I went to the store and bought 5 different shampoos the 2 my mom said 2 my sisters said well then i choose one. The best is Aussie its a WONDERFUL product and its the best for any type of hair. So try to find what fits for YOUR hair not everyone elses...You say you have sensitive skin well aussie is made with eco-friendly products to help just that. O and by the way hun. I do the same dry/flat iron so yes this is a good product to use.

    Great shampoo&conditioner brands?

Okay, so I have used Brilliant Brunette %26amp; Aussie, but I want something that will make my hair extremely volumized. Any shampoo%26amp;conditioner brands that are the same price or less that work really well for volumizing?Great shampoo%26amp;conditioner brands?
The absolute best is the new brand called Organix. It has organic active ingredients and is sulfate free so it wont dry out your hair, plus...it smells absolutely awesome! Organix has different collections for different hair types which are all amazing! You can get Organix at Target, Kroger, Albertsons, Bed Bath %26amp; Beyond, and select Walgreens, Wal-Mart, CVS, etc. You'll love it!!!

    http://www.organixhair.com/

    .Great shampoo%26amp;conditioner brands?
I LOVE garnier, but my hair is extremely thick, so volumizing is not my problems. some of my friends with thin hair try loreal vive pro. it makes their thin boring hair really shiny and full. try it!
Personally I don't think your going to find anything for the same price that will give you spectacular results. The store brand vo5, aussie, suave, well, they have a wax in them that coat the hair and make it temporaily thicker, but weigh it down at the same time. Eventually the wax resudie builds up on your hair and then it's almost impossible to get your hair to have volume. The only way to get the residue out is by clarifying. Use a good clarifying shampoo and that should do the trick. Professional products are the best for your hair, not only because they don't contain a lot of the residues normal shampoo has, but because they are ph balanced also. My perosnal recomendation would be redkin volumizing products, (shampoo, guts and conditioner...to use on the ends of your hair only). Another altternitive to professional products is generic professional products. You can find them at Sally's beauty supply store or your local beauy supply store. The actually name is ';Generic'; and then it will have the name of the professional product that it is generic for. Hope this helps.

Hi there! We are RED 7 SALON (http://www.red7salon.com), a boutique hair salon company with 2 locations in Chicago.

Animal testing is not good and should be very limited. It's not a drugstore brand, but we would recommend AVEDA. AVEDA is a wonderful brand that has wonderful smells and great results. As with any brand on the market out there, there are some winners in the line and some wanna'bes...so, it kinda depends on what you are after. However, the best thing to do is to walk into an AVEDA hair salon close to you with a fabulous reputation and talk with them about your concerns. They should be able to direct you to the appropriate product. Wanna learn more about AVEDA - go to their website:

    aveda.com
Burt's Bees does not test on animals with ANY of their products. They have an entire line of pretty much everything beauty wise that you're looking for :)
    try white rain :)

    it smells really good

and isn't tested on animals .

%26amp; it's good for the hair.
Just about all of them anymore. Just look at the label.
im pretty sure aussie and herbal essences dont test on animals.

Can I use annother brand shampoo with the Kirby Vacuum shampoo system??

I have had this vacuum for a couple months %26amp; I want to use some of the shampoo I have around the house BUT I don't want to hurt the shampoo system (which OF COARSE says to use only Kirby brand shampoo).

Any one have any experience with this??Can I use annother brand shampoo with the Kirby Vacuum shampoo system??
I've always used different shampoos, just put a half a cap full of fabric softener in your cleaning solution to cut down on the foaming...:)Can I use annother brand shampoo with the Kirby Vacuum shampoo system??
I also have a Kirby Vacuum shampoo system. You probably won't hurt the system by using other brands, but I don't think you'll get good results from the other shampoos...they are not formulated to foam. I wouldn't do it. All this Kirby system does is rub foam onto your carpet, it sits for 5 minutes, the excess foam gets scraped off into the tray, then you allow the carpet to dry and vacuum. Other shampoos are formulated to be mixed with water and the excess is extracted out of the carpet. Kirby shampoo and brands such as Bissel, Hoover, Woolite differ in how they are intended to work. I hate my Kirby shampoo system (I used mine twice!) and I recently bought a carpet shampooer. It does a much better job and my carpets are MUCH cleaner. I'm constantly cleaning carpet, I have 3 dogs and live in the country. Good luck.
dont pay attention to those use only things i have used pure bleach and pinesole and different household chemicals the thing to wach is not to let it foam if it has to much foam then you could have a problem
I think it is best that you do, I used to demonstrate these machines and have used generic stuff but the kirby works better because it's picked up much better than if you used geneirc stuff

  • Any medicated shampoo brands recommended?

my mare has kind've has a skin condition around her muzzle %26amp; eyes. it's extremely minor but I have an idea that it might be rain rot cause they're kind've scab looking. anyway, does anybody have any mediacated shampoo brand that they'd like to recommend? %26amp; nothing expensive please. I've already got my cash tied up for some more grooming supplies(which includes the shampoo) but u get the point. =)Any medicated shampoo brands recommended?
It probably isn't rain rot because that generally does not occur on the muzzle and usually are not scabs but just areas without hair. It could still be a fungal infection so the medicated shampoo may help. It could be bug bites?

I like Equinature's products because they are all natural and very effective. Since it is only on her muzzle I would recommend a gel treatment rather than a shampoo. Try this...

    http://www.equestriancollections.com/ite鈥?/a>

It is great because it clears up conditions caused by fungus (rain rot), bug bites or infestation, or just regular old scratches. This way no matter what your horse has it will clear it up. They also come in wipes

    http://www.equestriancollections.com/ite鈥?/a>

If you REALLY want a shampoo they have that too...

    http://www.equestriancollections.com/ite鈥?/a>Any medicated shampoo brands recommended?
The best thing to keep on hand is plain old betadine scrub. It can be used for washing areas where bacterial or fungal skin infections appear to causing problems as well as for cleaning wounds.

This is the common first step we recommend at the equine hospital for owners who call with horses having crusts or scabs or hair loss.
MicroTek is the best shampoo out there. It works wonders.

    http://www.valleyvet.com/ct_detail.html?鈥?/a>

They also make a gel that is good for use on the face.

    http://www.valleyvet.com/ct_detail.html?鈥?/a>
Hibiclens $12.00 at any pharmacy. It will last along time. Use on her privates and back legs aswell. Clears up lotsa little problems. Careful around the eyes.
if shes white it could be sun burn just take that under concideration

Which shampoo brand do you think smells great?

For me a shampoo called ziravie it is a fruit based one and it is diluted so one can never over use it. What I mean it is not concentrated so if you use a little extra it does not have damaging effect.

Any good shampoo brands and conditioners? (best answer gets full points)?

I've asked a question similar to this, but didn't get a lot of answers.

I have very fine and thin hair, sort of like an asian's you can say. It's really straight except it waves at the ends and I'm sick of it.

I was thinking of getting herbal essences dangerously straight and I know it doesnt completely straighten your hair, but will it help my waves?

If not, what other shampoo brands should I get... Aussi, dove, etc?

    I'm using pantene right now.

    ALSOOOO,

can you guys reccomend me a good conditioner.

Thank you guys SO SO MUCH, Merry christmas!!!

best answer gets full points (:Any good shampoo brands and conditioners? (best answer gets full points)?
Finally...a question I can fully answer.

Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight doesn't really straighten your hair. It is just FOR straight hair.

Aussie is much better for thick hair. It is sort of hard on your hair if it's thin.

Dove...is ok. Not great, but ok. It's not that expensive, though.

I love TRESemme. It works great on thin and thick hair. It has a lot of different kinds of products, depending on how your hair is. I recommend the Volume section.

Here is a URL so you can find more information:

    http://www.tresemme.com/volume/index.asp鈥?/a>

I like Herbal Essences and TRESemme conditioner. It makes your hair smooth and soft after using it once.

By the way...not all Asians have fine and thin hair. Just like Chinese and Japanese. I am Asian ( parents from India) and I have extremely thick hair. I would call it bushy...lol. I would trade you hair anyday, though.

    Have A Nice Day! and

    Merry Christmas!

12:03 AM.%26lt;----------------Early! Early! Early!Any good shampoo brands and conditioners? (best answer gets full points)?
Thats funny, because my hair is Just like yours. RIght now i rotate between using Bed Head Self-Absorbed Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner, Herbel Essance Dangerously Straight shampoo%26amp; Conditioner, and herbel essence Body Envy Shampoo%26amp;conditioner. Really, they all have about the same effect on my hair, but i love the smell Herbel Essence gives your hair!
    Merry Christmas to you too!

And um, I use Nexxum from Target. It helps me out a lot.
I love Head and Shoulders Smooth and Silky. It works AMAZINGLY! It makes your hair so soft =)
Try Burt's Bees products. They are amazing, work well and smell wonderful.
I like the Pert and it says on some of the bottles that it can be used for fine hair. They also say they are safe for color treated hair so it's great for the whole family. Usually there is conditioner in with the 2 in 1 shampoo for fine hair. It's also not a very expensive shampoo. If you want more body you may want to try something like a leave in conditioner or use some mouse while your hair is still damp so it may hold volume better. Garnier fructis also helps with fine hair depending on which one you get. They also have a leave-in- conditioner that you can get. Aussie has a volume 2 in 1 shampoo conditioner.

I'm not a professional groomer, but what if you gave the owner an option on which shampoo they wanted to use on their dogs?

What is the best shampoo brand?

For frizz free, shiny soft hair and that prevents damage

    And is within a budget

What brands actually work up to what they say they do?What is the best shampoo brand?
    SILK ELEMENTS!!

I use that. My hair is frizzy...but this shampoo really prevented that from happening, and strengthened my hair and made it sooo soft and silky! I Love it.

The one I use is Silk Elements Olive Oil Shampoo and the Moisturizing Treatment as well! What is the best shampoo brand?
    I agree with reniwins.

Hair products like pantene, sunsilk, dove only worsen your hair.

Many of my hairstylist said so, they create shine and oil, covering your hair to makes them look vibrant, but the inside of your hair is actually getting unhealthy.

I do not know for other brands, but for a cheap one, herbal essence work fine for me, at least it doesn't do as much harm to your hair as compared to the other products above.
Sunsilk (thick and long hair) it's really great, it makes your hair super silky, soft, smooooth and it smells really cute.

I use Pantene Conditioner. It's really good.

    Pantene-Pro V is awesome too.

But whatever you use, don't ever use Head and Shoulder or All Clear or Dove, they are all nothing but some sort of rubbish.
J.A.S.O.N. - it's all natural, which means it's better for your hair. And it doesn't include all those harsh ingredients.

or Nexus Dualiste (I think I spelt that wrong) - It helps protect your hair color, and ';preps'; it for conditiners.

    I love these products. =]

And just a note - shampoo is usually used to clean the dirt out of your hair, not make it softer... conditioners are the one the really makes it soft and silky.
i'm a hairstylist. just so everyone is clear, pantene pro v shampoo strips the hair and the conditioner coats it with a filmy wax, which may feel nice at first, but really is just causing more problems for later.. resulting in bad build up, unhealthy hair, etc.

you need to find something less harsh for the hair.

as far as over the counter products are concerned,

the best one i know of, to the best of my knowledge does not strip hair,

is infusium 23. give that one a try. my friend uses it. says it's good.
Pantene idk if im spelling it right tho lol i use the ocnditioner and shampoo and my hair is so soft and perfect lol try it :) and they have a special brand of it for frizz its purple i think idk ud have ot look
Pantene works. it won't cure damage hair but helps prevent it. and they have alot of different shampoos from Pantene that work.
Sauve Professionals Humectant-Smells great, works wonders, super cheap!
idk but i use Bioteria and Pantene Pro-V
Paul Mitchell Awaphuii, the best and price is good.
    biolage:)
Garnier Fructis. It makes your hair super shiny and it works for frizzy hair
    Mane n Tail.

At my store the huge bottle was only 7.99
    tressame
    Panteine Pro-V

It keeps it silky smooth and smells great.

What is the best smelling shampoo/conditioner brand for normal hair?

I want the scent to last, and the brand to be good for your hair? Sauve does not last %26amp; neither does Dove, so far thats what I have tried! Thanks for input !What is the best smelling shampoo/conditioner brand for normal hair?

Tigi Bed Head - Is really good too.

But it's a little on the expensive side.

  • Dry Shampoo brands? (maybe...not crazy expensive...)?

I know brands that are more expensive really can be worth the money and all...and I've heard great things about bumble and bumble's line of dry shampoo...but holy crap a FOUR oz bottle of dry shampoo is $35. That is kinda ridiculous. And a 1 oz bottle is $19, that'd last like a week, if that. Are there any brands people have tried that worked out well that was less expensive? To be honest, when I had really light hair I could get away with using just a little baby powder at my roots between washes, but when I dye it darker that's not really an option lol.

I know it's not a big deal to just wash with regular shampoo, it's just that I color my hair a lot and it'd be nice to prolong the color by not washing it as much.Dry Shampoo brands? (maybe...not crazy expensive...)?
Klorane? i get it for about $10 i love it .Dry Shampoo brands? (maybe...not crazy expensive...)?
    Sephora
Loreal! its amazing! oh nvm... dry shampoo? Try lush.
I recommend anything from herbal essence or garnier fructis, they're both amazing brands and they wont break the bank, %26amp; they have different types to fit your hair type or what you what your hair to do.

I know first hand about expensive shampoos and they're not worth it, they usually work just as good as the cheaper ones, they're a waste of money.

  • Changing shampoo brands- oily hair?

I've recently heard about Pantene being bad for hair. I agree with this since I think my hair's gotten heavier/oilier. I've seen the new ads for herbal essence and think the new bottle looks adorable and i'm planning to buy the one for oily hair. But.. some of my peers have been saying my hair looks really oily and I think the ';gunk'; from pantene is ';stuck'; in my hair. Does anyone have a good brand they use to cleanse and get rid of this buildup?

Lol sorry for the long question

    ThanksChanging shampoo brands- oily hair?
if your cute hair quality does not matterChanging shampoo brands- oily hair?
Get head n shoulders...make sure it says its ok to use for oily hair.
Use Neutrogena to get the gunk out. Then use Infusium 23 on a daily basis. That stuff roxXx!! You will love the way it makes your hair feel.
Try Pert Plus. I got oily hair 2 n it should work better then Pantene.
It might sound weird and dont know if you have used it or even heard of it...

BEER...yeah, coors, budlight whatever..lol it works REALLY good and is a great buildup stripper.

Just flip your head over while looking down, like in the kitchen sink and pour the beer over your scalp/hair massage in, let it sit in for 2-3 mins and you will actually feel it working. I love it and it works great. Rinse out and then wash with a good shampoo after.

I notice a difference right away, and I do the beer thing about once a week to once every two weeks depending on how oily/heavier it feels, I especially do it after a long trip of camping.

I am also one of those people who get the buildup/oily hair, and noticed it more often if I keep using the same shampoo repeatedly.

Patene I found out was really bad for my hair as I kept getting handfuls of loose hair after I used it not too mention got really bad buildup.

Try the beer thing though, it really does work...

What is the best store brand Shampoo & conditioner for wavy frizz-prone hair?

Also, I don't use a lot of hair product. Just some anti-frizz cream or curl enhancer. What's the best, without being crunchy or sticky? What is the best store brand Shampoo %26amp; conditioner for wavy frizz-prone hair?
I use either the anti-poof or captivating curls collections by Sunsilk, they're pretty inexpensive and work really well in keeping my frizzy hair under control.

Also, if that doesn't work for you, or if you have a lot of extra money, Dove is really good on my hair, because they have thick conditioners.

Hope I helped. (:What is the best store brand Shampoo %26amp; conditioner for wavy frizz-prone hair?

okay, well i had the same problem and i was trying ALL different brands, and the BEST one was DEFINATLY 'Frizz-Ease,' for curly, of course. it helps frizz a LOT!!! it works for me, hopefully you like it too!
Anything but Pantene..if you look on the back it has like 6 different alcohols inside of it..people are dumb that use it. Try dove or aussie!

Bed Head by TIGI control freak, the only professional shampoo on your list. Much more concentrated, with more natural ingredients and less water.
i like garnier fructis or pantene.

tigi products are fun and smell good... but for the price they don't do anything different.
herbal essences...don't use garnier fructis, after using it for awhile your hair gets oily.

  • Is there an alternative to the Kirby brand shampoo for a kirby Vacume?

I would like to know if there is an alternative shampoo that is cheaper and cleans equally as well or better then the kirby brand shampoo. Is there an alternative to the Kirby brand shampoo for a kirby Vacume?
yes yes yes...we buy ';Awesome'; cleaner...it is yellow.... it is sold in 99 cent stores....it works great.....we professionally clean carpets...you use the same amt of awesome...as you do the kirby shampoo....I think it's 3 caps of cleaner in your shampoo holder...and fill to the water line...then as an added touch...we use downy liquid fabric softener to put a soft feel (%26amp; smell) on the carpet....you put 50/50 water %26amp; downey mix in a spray bottle (an old windex bottle will do)...you DO NOT put this in your reservoir of vacum...just spray this on capet (quite heavy) then run the kirby shampooer over it...people really comment how nice their carpet smells %26amp; feels...good luck!!!Is there an alternative to the Kirby brand shampoo for a kirby Vacume?

ELECTROLUX TURBO SHAMPOO DRY FOAM FORMULA!!!!!!

Does hair ';get used to'; shampoo and conditioner brands?

I think it does. Some shampoos leave a build up over time.Does hair ';get used to'; shampoo and conditioner brands?
Yes! Hair gets used to shampoo and doesn't 'cooperate' as well. Its always good to switch up your brands from time to time. Even if its the same brand, and a different variation (sleek vs volumizer, etc).

I generally change mine after I run out of the bottles. Even if you just go back and forth between two kinds, it really does make a difference.Does hair ';get used to'; shampoo and conditioner brands?
    No.
I heard you are supposed to use different types of shampoos and conditioners every 2-3 months to help your hair stay it's best.
Yes, so every one to two months you should try a new shampoo and conditioner to change it up!! You hair tends to look and feel healthyer!!!
Yeah it does. My dermotologist told me to switch every 6 months.
Yes so it's better to change.
