Guys shampoo brands..?

im 14 and wondering what shampoo is really good. I have many options, including:

garnier fructis

axe

suave

loreal

herbal essence

gillete

old spice

ETC.(any brands at like WAL-MART)Guys shampoo brands..?
I prefer on herbal essence it works great it doesn't leaves hair dry or just very soft nice it makes hair very nice healthy looking other shampoo like Axe or old spice just makes your hair smell good but they don't replenish your hair with moisturizer to make your hair more manageable and soft .

if you have dry hair use herbal essence hello hydration

oily hair use the herbal essence Drama Clean

and Loreal use vive pro hydra gloss with royal jelly it makes

hair very soft nice .Guys shampoo brands..?
I bought my husband that Nivea 3 in one thing. Its shaving cream, body wash, and shampoo in one. Its cool as hell and smells sexy. He will be taking a shower upstairs and I can smell it all the way downstairs. =]
I use herbal essences. It smells good, even on guys.

An Asian Male with thick, a bit curly and dry hair. How to care for it? Best haircuts?Best shampoo brand 4 me?

Also, is there a way I can straighten my hair ? If so, how long will it last?An Asian Male with thick, a bit curly and dry hair. How to care for it? Best haircuts?Best shampoo brand 4 me?
Yes, you can chemically straighten your hair at a salon. It lasts for years but costs a bit much. There are a lot of good shampoo brands out there. I favor Dove because their moisture therapy shampoo got rid of the static in my very dried up hair. =P

What is the best drugstore brand shampoo for thick wavy hair?

I'm thinking of switching shampoo and conditioners but I don't know to what. What would you recommend? I have longish thick hair with a wave to it. It's in good condition and I rarely get split ends.

(Don't bother reccomending Pantene Pro V. I tried it once and it didn't work for me.)What is the best drugstore brand shampoo for thick wavy hair?
Tresseme all the way! Hey, that rhymed!(:

I have superthick Latin hair, and I know what you mean with the Pantene doing squat. I love the Tresseme because it really cleans, without the icky residue in cheap brands, but also softens hair. What is the best drugstore brand shampoo for thick wavy hair?
I like Garnier Fructis. You can find coupons in the paper for it, thus making it much cheaper, especially if you go to a store that doubles coupons. The combination shampoo plus conditioner for normal hair works great, but you can also get it for curly hair.

What is the best drugstore brand shampoo?

Along the lines of pantene etc.? I currently use Redkin but need to save money and cut back.. Any thoughts or suggestions?

ThanksWhat is the best drugstore brand shampoo?
The best shampoo is finesse 2 in shampoo conditioner I have 5 years using this shampoo and lives my hair so soft and shiny and I discover that my hair growths more faster .What is the best drugstore brand shampoo?
I like Tressemme (I think that's how you spell it). I have found that with drug store brands, they work great for about 2 months, then my hair starts to get flakey or dry and I have to switch formulas. Make sure to pick the right one for your hair type.

Btw, if you have a Big Lots near you, I have often found salon shampoos there for cheap, but it's kind of hit and miss for brands.
I was using Pantene for a long time recently I have tried Dove conditioner and I am happy with it you may want to give it a try!

  • Should I buy salon brand shampoo or just the stuff from the supermarket?

What is the difference if any? I know the salon stuff is more expensive but do you guys notice a difference between the cheap stuff and the stuff you get from a hair salon?Should I buy salon brand shampoo or just the stuff from the supermarket?
i have tried so many from the store and salon and hands down salon products are so much better. they have the proper ingredients your hair needs. store stuff is full of alcohols and waxes. i shop at salonsavings.com they have great products and they are really cheapShould I buy salon brand shampoo or just the stuff from the supermarket?
    buy Redken
The only difference that I find between the salon and store bought is that the conditioner might leave more of a build up. I have been a stylist for 15 years and this is what I have told my cutomers. If you can't afford everything try to spend the money on the conditioner. The store bought products have more fillers and waxes to make them stretch farther taht is why they are cheaper. If you find that you get build up from your hair products it is more likely coming from the spray. I don't find many people with build up that often though. If you buy a salon product out of walmart or some other store other than a salon it could be couterfeit, stolen or outdated. Salon brands are to only be sold by a salon. Chances are that you are paying more $ at walmart or the other stores. When I have seen salon products at these other stores they are about 2-3 $ more than what my shop sells them for. People just think that it is cheaper cause it is at walmart. Also if it is at the other stores it probably is not as good since it may be outdated. On the back it says that it is only guaruteed if sold by a professional. Anyway just to sum it up all products are pretty much the same the salon quality is just more concentrated. The salon product is more likely to last longer as well. A store brand bottle of s'poo might last you 1 month where the salon could last you twice as long. When you break it down to the price per use it might work out to the same or close. I hope that this has helped you.
depends on what your pockets can afford....i personally like the salon brand because i know my hair is getting what it needs
the salon stuff is better for your hair cuz it treats it better
The ';salon stuff'; is definetely better quality. Yes, it's more expensive, but you get your money's worth. I think you should go with salon brand. I use Bed-Head and Aussie. They're both amazing hair product companies that sell alot in different variety. You can get great deals at Walmart and the prices aren't tooo bad. Now if you want to get really good %26amp; expensive--Redken is the best. You want to care for your hair? Redken is your product!

    --Peace %26amp; love, Stacy(:

garnier fructis their is many selections for curly hair from this brand. its great i have curly hair and i use it. my hair doesn't frizz and has perfect curls.
    SunSilk straighten up

It takes a while for it to work, but its really great, ive been using it for about 6months
Biolage ultra hydrating shampoo and ultra hydrating conditioner.
I love Herbal Essences new collection- it leaves my hair soft and silky. If you aren't happy with that, try Sunsilk, or Garnier Fructis.

What do you all think of the Suave shampoo brand?

I'm curious? Is it a good brand? Does it leave your hair soft and healthy?

What are your opinions on the brand? What do you all think of the Suave shampoo brand?
Yes, it's good, but not my first choice. It works better than some of the more expensive brands I have tried. In the summer, I will buy a bottle of the Clarifying Shampoo from Suave to use a couple times a week instead of my regular shampoo, because my hair tends to get oily in the summer months. And it works well to keep it looking clean. I'll use some other conditioner with it normally.

The other shampoo and conditioner that I really like is Aussie (the stuff int he purple bottles), and it's my first choice. There is one called ';Split Personality';, I think. And that one helps to keep your roots from looking greasy, and it helps to smooth the ends of your hair at the same time. I really love it, it's what I use most often in the summer months and that one definitely leaves your hair soft, softer than suave's stuff.

Pantene is right up there with Aussie, but I don't like the smell of Pantene as much. Herbal Essences is good as well, but probably my second choice. What do you all think of the Suave shampoo brand?
Drug store bought shampoo's and conditioners are all the same. They all contain a large amount of wax and detergent. I recommend using professional shampoo/conditioner. Abba is natural and not too expensive.
It's pretty good i love the one that's called bio-something lol

    it smells so amazing
I think it's a great way to dry out your hair.
Yes it's really good it's actually a kick back from a popular name brand .
My opinion is it is good to use once in a while or if you are a man, but woman need more nutrients in their hair for woman I would recommend using Herbal Essense, or Aussie. Good luck hun.
    I like it........Its ok

Its not my favorite but it is ok

    i personally LOVE herbal essences.

they smell great and there are so many options for so many hair types.

personally , i use the pink hydalicious. with extracts of red vanilla and aloe ? i think its aloe .

but there are so many yummy smelling options ...

    Any medicated shampoo brands recommended?

my mare has kind've has a skin condition around her muzzle %26amp; eyes. it's extremely minor but I have an idea that it might be rain rot cause they're kind've scab looking. anyway, does anybody have any mediacated shampoo brand that they'd like to recommend? %26amp; nothing expensive please. I've already got my cash tied up for some more grooming supplies(which includes the shampoo) but u get the point. =)Any medicated shampoo brands recommended?
It probably isn't rain rot because that generally does not occur on the muzzle and usually are not scabs but just areas without hair. It could still be a fungal infection so the medicated shampoo may help. It could be bug bites?

I like Equinature's products because they are all natural and very effective. Since it is only on her muzzle I would recommend a gel treatment rather than a shampoo. Try this...

    http://www.equestriancollections.com/ite鈥?/a>

It is great because it clears up conditions caused by fungus (rain rot), bug bites or infestation, or just regular old scratches. This way no matter what your horse has it will clear it up. They also come in wipes

    http://www.equestriancollections.com/ite鈥?/a>

If you REALLY want a shampoo they have that too...

    http://www.equestriancollections.com/ite鈥?/a>Any medicated shampoo brands recommended?
The best thing to keep on hand is plain old betadine scrub. It can be used for washing areas where bacterial or fungal skin infections appear to causing problems as well as for cleaning wounds.

This is the common first step we recommend at the equine hospital for owners who call with horses having crusts or scabs or hair loss.
MicroTek is the best shampoo out there. It works wonders.

    http://www.valleyvet.com/ct_detail.html?鈥?/a>

They also make a gel that is good for use on the face.

    http://www.valleyvet.com/ct_detail.html?鈥?/a>
Hibiclens $12.00 at any pharmacy. It will last along time. Use on her privates and back legs aswell. Clears up lotsa little problems. Careful around the eyes.
if shes white it could be sun burn just take that under concideration

Any good shampoo brands and conditioners? (best answer gets full points)?

I've asked a question similar to this, but didn't get a lot of answers.

I have very fine and thin hair, sort of like an asian's you can say. It's really straight except it waves at the ends and I'm sick of it.

I was thinking of getting herbal essences dangerously straight and I know it doesnt completely straighten your hair, but will it help my waves?

If not, what other shampoo brands should I get... Aussi, dove, etc?

    I'm using pantene right now.

    ALSOOOO,

can you guys reccomend me a good conditioner.

Thank you guys SO SO MUCH, Merry christmas!!!

best answer gets full points (:Any good shampoo brands and conditioners? (best answer gets full points)?
Finally...a question I can fully answer.

Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight doesn't really straighten your hair. It is just FOR straight hair.

Aussie is much better for thick hair. It is sort of hard on your hair if it's thin.

Dove...is ok. Not great, but ok. It's not that expensive, though.

I love TRESemme. It works great on thin and thick hair. It has a lot of different kinds of products, depending on how your hair is. I recommend the Volume section.

Here is a URL so you can find more information:

    http://www.tresemme.com/volume/index.asp鈥?/a>

I like Herbal Essences and TRESemme conditioner. It makes your hair smooth and soft after using it once.

By the way...not all Asians have fine and thin hair. Just like Chinese and Japanese. I am Asian ( parents from India) and I have extremely thick hair. I would call it bushy...lol. I would trade you hair anyday, though.

    Have A Nice Day! and

    Merry Christmas!

12:03 AM.%26lt;----------------Early! Early! Early!Any good shampoo brands and conditioners? (best answer gets full points)?
Thats funny, because my hair is Just like yours. RIght now i rotate between using Bed Head Self-Absorbed Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner, Herbel Essance Dangerously Straight shampoo%26amp; Conditioner, and herbel essence Body Envy Shampoo%26amp;conditioner. Really, they all have about the same effect on my hair, but i love the smell Herbel Essence gives your hair!
    Merry Christmas to you too!

And um, I use Nexxum from Target. It helps me out a lot.
I love Head and Shoulders Smooth and Silky. It works AMAZINGLY! It makes your hair so soft =)
Try Burt's Bees products. They are amazing, work well and smell wonderful.
I like the Pert and it says on some of the bottles that it can be used for fine hair. They also say they are safe for color treated hair so it's great for the whole family. Usually there is conditioner in with the 2 in 1 shampoo for fine hair. It's also not a very expensive shampoo. If you want more body you may want to try something like a leave in conditioner or use some mouse while your hair is still damp so it may hold volume better. Garnier fructis also helps with fine hair depending on which one you get. They also have a leave-in- conditioner that you can get. Aussie has a volume 2 in 1 shampoo conditioner.

    Changing shampoo brands- oily hair?

I've recently heard about Pantene being bad for hair. I agree with this since I think my hair's gotten heavier/oilier. I've seen the new ads for herbal essence and think the new bottle looks adorable and i'm planning to buy the one for oily hair. But.. some of my peers have been saying my hair looks really oily and I think the ';gunk'; from pantene is ';stuck'; in my hair. Does anyone have a good brand they use to cleanse and get rid of this buildup?

Lol sorry for the long question

    ThanksChanging shampoo brands- oily hair?
Use Neutrogena to get the gunk out. Then use Infusium 23 on a daily basis. That stuff roxXx!! You will love the way it makes your hair feel.Changing shampoo brands- oily hair?
Get head n shoulders...make sure it says its ok to use for oily hair.
It might sound weird and dont know if you have used it or even heard of it...

BEER...yeah, coors, budlight whatever..lol it works REALLY good and is a great buildup stripper.

Just flip your head over while looking down, like in the kitchen sink and pour the beer over your scalp/hair massage in, let it sit in for 2-3 mins and you will actually feel it working. I love it and it works great. Rinse out and then wash with a good shampoo after.

I notice a difference right away, and I do the beer thing about once a week to once every two weeks depending on how oily/heavier it feels, I especially do it after a long trip of camping.

I am also one of those people who get the buildup/oily hair, and noticed it more often if I keep using the same shampoo repeatedly.

Patene I found out was really bad for my hair as I kept getting handfuls of loose hair after I used it not too mention got really bad buildup.

Try the beer thing though, it really does work...
Try Pert Plus. I got oily hair 2 n it should work better then Pantene.
if your cute hair quality does not matter

Dry Shampoo brands? (maybe...not crazy expensive...)?

I know brands that are more expensive really can be worth the money and all...and I've heard great things about bumble and bumble's line of dry shampoo...but holy crap a FOUR oz bottle of dry shampoo is $35. That is kinda ridiculous. And a 1 oz bottle is $19, that'd last like a week, if that. Are there any brands people have tried that worked out well that was less expensive? To be honest, when I had really light hair I could get away with using just a little baby powder at my roots between washes, but when I dye it darker that's not really an option lol.

I know it's not a big deal to just wash with regular shampoo, it's just that I color my hair a lot and it'd be nice to prolong the color by not washing it as much.Dry Shampoo brands? (maybe...not crazy expensive...)?
Klorane? i get it for about $10 i love it .Dry Shampoo brands? (maybe...not crazy expensive...)?
    Sephora
Loreal! its amazing! oh nvm... dry shampoo? Try lush.
I recommend anything from herbal essence or garnier fructis, they're both amazing brands and they wont break the bank, %26amp; they have different types to fit your hair type or what you what your hair to do.

I know first hand about expensive shampoos and they're not worth it, they usually work just as good as the cheaper ones, they're a waste of money.

    good luck!

so i just realized you said dry shampoo, you can try ulta, they have alot of dry shampoos that don't cost alot.

I use himalaya products only..its very safe to use and contains herbals which has a natural effect...its not that expensive also..jus give in a try...hope u will like it :-)
Cream of Nature and Mane 'n Tail, these products are great for african american hair. Make my hair soft, shiny, adds body and promote hair growth.
I have tried most of the brands. here are my reviews-

Arnica Plus- Bad smell, softens hair but smells bad.

Clinic Plus- Dries up the hair. Harsh. Good for Dandruff

    shikakai- Bad smell

Head and Shoulders- Good. But similar to clinic plus.

Sunsilk- Large variety. The best available.
Dove. It doesn't smell very nice, but it makes my hair very soft.
I usually use shampoo from hotels but when I buy it, I almost always use Pert with conditioner. I have more hair than anyone I know of (thickness) and this stuff works fine and keeps hair untangled. It works just as well as any expensive shampoo.
u use HIMALAYA hair loss cream , this is the best product once. u try. ok then this is for lous hairs %26amp; dendrop

  • Does hair ';get used to'; shampoo and conditioner brands?

I think it does. Some shampoos leave a build up over time.Does hair ';get used to'; shampoo and conditioner brands?
Yes! Hair gets used to shampoo and doesn't 'cooperate' as well. Its always good to switch up your brands from time to time. Even if its the same brand, and a different variation (sleek vs volumizer, etc).

I generally change mine after I run out of the bottles. Even if you just go back and forth between two kinds, it really does make a difference.Does hair ';get used to'; shampoo and conditioner brands?
    No.
I heard you are supposed to use different types of shampoos and conditioners every 2-3 months to help your hair stay it's best.
Yes, so every one to two months you should try a new shampoo and conditioner to change it up!! You hair tends to look and feel healthyer!!!
Yeah it does. My dermotologist told me to switch every 6 months.
Yes so it's better to change.

Bed Head by TIGI control freak, the only professional shampoo on your list. Much more concentrated, with more natural ingredients and less water.
i like garnier fructis or pantene.

tigi products are fun and smell good... but for the price they don't do anything different.
herbal essences...don't use garnier fructis, after using it for awhile your hair gets oily.
honey, bed head is an awesome product! i love it! go with that one....garnier fructis is great also!

what is the best shampoo or conitioner brand you have used? What is the best shampoo brand that you have used?
Burt's Bees Supershiny Grapefruit %26amp; Sugarbeet shampoo %26amp; conditioner. They are ph balanced to work together, so they are terrible alone but AWESOME when used together!! They make my hair so soft and shiny and tangle-free. I run my hands through my hair a lot, but this stuff keeps out the tangles all day long. At first, it felt really weird so I wasn't too sure. But that's only because it's all natural so there are no added ingredients.

You can get samples at Target or Walgreen's or at www.burtsbees.com. I got so many compliments after I started using this stuff.

Redken...it may cost a bit more than normal shampoo but it works really well and is made for all types of hair.
the best shampoo i have used would have to be Dove for dry and damaged hair becasue it left my hair feelinr really soft! i loved it!
Redken works the best for me and I've probably tried just about every brand out there. I think all of the Redken products are very good.
I liked BedHead but it builds up a bit when you use it daily. I use a much cheaper Aussie now and my hair feels great!
    Pantene, Mod's hair
Garnier Fructis and Pantene Pro-V are the best cheap shampoos
mine would be bedhead because my hair does so much stuff and i love it.
Garnier Furtise and Get the orange and shiny kind! Really works
That depends on the hair. When my hair is on the oily side, there's nothing better than Paul Mitchell Tea Tree shampoo. For normal, everyday use when my hair is being normal, I'm kind of partial to the Garnier Fructis products. When my hair is on the dry side, I haven't found one I just really love but I do like Thermasilk okay.
biolage and aveno are great! a little pricey but worth it
Pantene...even though it's expensive. I was grateful when Wal-Mart came out with their version. I use the smooth %26amp; Sleek line to tame my frizzy hair.
My two favorites are Treseme and Pantene Pro-V. They both make my hair (naturally straight) very smooth and they give it some volume, which usually it doesnt have. Even though I also straighten it every morning, these shampoos make it look like I have never put any sort of heat on it.
Nioxin! I love their line of products!

I have really split ends, dry hair, its long, color treated, thick, and it gets really frizzy! I have been using panteen prov beautiful lengths but that just isn't enough for my hair. Does anyone know of a better brand (if there is one) that i can buy at walmart?

**Also I have seen commercials on dove and herbal essences to help dry and damaged hair, do either of those work?

thanks a bunch!!What is a really good (cheap) shampoo brand that i can buy at walmart?
Herbal Essences makes my hair frizzy, but Dove only makes it soft, no damage repair.

Try TRESemme. The big bottles are really cheap, and salons use it. You could also try Suave Professionals, it works better than the plain one. What is a really good (cheap) shampoo brand that i can buy at walmart?
Herbal essences does help CONTRIBUTE to dry hair.

Don't get Herbal Essences, that makes your hair more dry and brittle. Get Suave or Tresseme, they're cheap and wonderful!
stop using pantene now, it damages hair D:

use tresumme, its cheap but freakin good

The Suave shampoos that are supposed to be generic brands of salon shampoos are nice.
    Suave or dove..
id use suave for your hair but i use Pantene

I have really thick straight hair, and I LOVE Herbal Essences ';Drama Clean'; Shampoo and Conditioner. The shampoo cleans thoroughly so that your hair doesn't get oily, and the conditioner moisturizes lightly so it doesn't weigh you down so much. Hope this is helpful. What shampoo brand works best for thick often dull hair?

Now my hair is softer %26amp; less frizzy

    Try it.

    Good Luck
you mean to tell me there was something in the can
    sunsilk hydra tlc
I like sunsilk brand for different problems...shoot what is the shine one called? anyways go to walmart and there is one to make your hair shiny and it really works and it wont make your hair oily. Sometimes if you have really oily hair it helps to put some baking soda in your hands with shampooo and then shampo with it like normal. idk why but it helps, and if you have oily hair but cant take a shower rub some baby powder in you hands then through your hair and then brush it. Hope this helped!
I use sunsilk it works great
i have really thick curly hair, and i use biosilk shampoo and conditioner, it's really great on shine, and it restores your hairs health.

    Shampoo Brands????

Any one know shampoo brands, preferably sold in the uk, that dont contain Sodium Laueth Sulphate in them please?

most seem to and ive been told its bad 4 the hair. thanks xShampoo Brands????
YES YES! Rene Furtier. ITs very popular and easy to Find in the UK i believe too! Its a very exclusive product in the US. Its is wonderful, they have lines for every type of hair condition. Its great! some may contain sls, but it depends on what you buy.Shampoo Brands????
Just so you know, some if not all, Rene Furterer hair products do contain ';Sodium Laueth Sulphate';This is in response to a previous answer.

Biolage.Whixh of these 2 shampoo brands are better?
neither. the generic pantene is the best.
depends on the type of tigi or biolage. i love oatmeal and honey from tigi and hydrating shampoo from biolage is good .tigi or better known as bed head smells great and goes a long way ! watch for the big tweeners for $20 really good deal!!!
biolage! thats what i use...never used tigi, but biolage is better, lol.
    BIOLAGE FTW
I love Biolage! I don't know about the other.
TIGI, if you had to choose. But they're both not that good of brands. You want a great shampoo? Try Kerastese...it might be a bit more expensive than the rest, but the results are worth the splurge.

I also use biolage. It works really well and smells good too. A bit expensive though...not sure about tigi since I've never used it.

For oral care look for JASON or Nature's Gate at your drugstore-chain or grocery store, Tom's of Maine does not test on animals, but recently sold out to Colgate.

Shampoos by Freeman, Jason, Alba Botanica, Kiss My Face shouldn't be too hard to find.

I use Whole Foods store brand 365, it's relatively cheap ($3.79 for 32fl oz) and pretty good.

  • How do I know which shampoo brand is suitable and healthy for my hair ?

First identify what hair type you have - oily dry etc, then its just trial and error. Body on Tap shampoo and conditioner is quite good. How do I know which shampoo brand is suitable and healthy for my hair ?
what ever shampoo u use try sunsilk hydra TCL multi symptom masque after shampooin... its really good n ur hair is so soft n silky after using it.How do I know which shampoo brand is suitable and healthy for my hair ?
most shampoo brands are pretty much the same...just choose one that is tailored to your hair type...dry, colored, limp, whatever.

when you buy a designer hair product, you're really just paying for the name, packaging, and advertising.
Any regular shampoo would work, but use it with rain water, which is the most natural way to treat your hair. You don't even have to use shampoo, regular soap would work.
Just experiment. Each hair type is different.

My stylist recommended Selsen Blue w/Moisturizer, and I felt a difference the first time I used it, and my hair is much healthier now.

    Good luck!

What brands of shampoo have you seen in the grocery store or K-Mart that you would like?

All I have ever seen is row after row after row of Suave. Also seen White Rain, VO5, Prell, Pert Plus, Head and Shoulders, and absolutely nothing else ever, not one other brand unless maybe it was on the bottom shelf. What brands of shampoo have you seen in the grocery store or K-Mart that you would like?
It's all pretty much crap. The ingredients on all these bottles are horrendous. Plus, they contain alcohol, which will dry out hair. Out of all of them, I sometimes like the Neutrogena (small square bottle), because it's good to use every once in a while (but the smell actually makes me sick). I try to avoid buying shampoo %26amp; whatnot from grocery stores like Kroger, etc. And I can't believe K-mart even still exists when Target has completely knocked them out of the competition. K-mart IMHO looks so run down and behind the times, no matter where it's located. Anyway, I usually purchase my shampoo at places like Whole Foods %26amp; Wild Oats. Actually, there's a mosturizing body wash I used as a shampoo that I loved... Shikai White Gardenia.

But I do steer clear of common grocery stores (most products there are very unhealthy... overloaded with sodium, trans fat, and almost everything either has preservatives or unnatural chemicals). And K-mart doesn't even enter into the picture at all.

The best place to buy shampoo and (everything else) is organic grocery stores like Whole Foods or Wild Oats. What brands of shampoo have you seen in the grocery store or K-Mart that you would like?
I know a lot of people like Pantene. I always see it on the shelves.
Are you a giant? and not able to view the lower or middle shelfs ?I have bought pantene, matrix and many others at both those stores and have never bought white rain or Vo5.
Wow.... is this really all you've got to think about right now? Lets swap lives..... if the biggest of my problems was the shampoo selection at K-Mart, I'd be set......
dove is a really good shampoo.... not the body soap but the actual shampoo
pantene is the best, I love it
I don't shop at K-Mart but I do shop at I.D.A and I always get Treseme (however you spell it!) and it works good, especialy the conditioner
i love john freida, panteen, garnier frutis, andddd herbel esence
l'oreal vive in the pink bottle...it makes my hair so soft :)
    garnier fructis
    Ding!
    seen all them
Pantene... Is very good... :) and plus i have seen it, with my own eyes, in the grocery store and K Mart...
My K-Mart is pretty sad any more, but it definitely has a lot of shampoo brands--my favorites for sure, Dove and Loreal. The grocery store, depends whether it's big or small--so I guess it depends.
    does any body remember Jojoba?
    Pantene!!!☺
    Pert Plus
Grocery stores usually carry Finesse and Pantene, which are nicer than those other brands you mentioned. I get Pantene at WalMart.
none is better then the other
I've see all of those and also Pantene, Herbal Essense %26amp; Sun Silk.
Herbal Essences lol or how ever you spell it and Aussie
I live in Australia so some of those brands arent familiar to me,but VO5 would have to be one of the best shampoos available, and also Sunsilk is a favorite of mine.
    Herbal essence is great.
Suave or white rain. They're cheap and work as good as other brands.Suave was made by Helene Curtiss until recently, they also make the hair salon shampoos.Johnson's baby shampoo, but they don't offer conditioner.
I like Paul Mitchell, and you can't get that in a grocery store.
Pantene...thick and full...if you having thinning hair this is the way to go!
I shop at Target, and I usually see a lot of Fructis and other higher end products.
    pantene pro v

    sunsilk

What Brands of shampoo DON'T test on animals?

i know Suave does test on animals, but which ones don't?What Brands of shampoo DON'T test on animals?
Actually, Bath%26amp;Body Works just says the finished product isn't tested on animals, that doesn't mean the ingredients put into the shampoo weren't.

    Herbal Essences

    VO5

    TRESemme

    Paul Mitchell

    Citre Shine

    Avon

    Freeman

Kiss My FaceWhat Brands of shampoo DON'T test on animals?
organic products don't test on animals. Jason and Giovanni are both good brands that you can find at target. Report Abuse

I use TRESemme, and it does not test on animals. It comes in huge bottles so I don't have to buy more shampoo once a week. It has ton of different formula's, I use the teal one, to keep frizz down on my waves. I use it daily, and it doesn't dry out, or make my hair oily. Also some bottles have pumps, so you don't even have to pick up the bottles, just pump out five pumps and your good to go. All my friends use it now too! Also, it smells great, not like fruit or anything, but like a fresh, clean scent. An it's relatively cheap, considering the quality. Only like four dollars for a huge bottle.
Go organic or natural, like Giovanni, or any of the retailers listed on http://www.organicconsumer.org because these products most likely won't be tested on animals.
anything from bath and bodyy works doesnt

Which is better: Sunsilk or Pantene?

And how do you tell if you have frizzy hair?Shampoo brands?
Pantene is so much better. It makes your hair softer and helathier. You also get more healthy shine. Sunsilk either dries your hair out and makes it frizzy or makes it really greasy and thin.

Frizzy hair is damaged. When you look at your hair, if you have any pieces that stick up or out and curl a little (or alot) it's frizz. If you have frizzy hair, use Pantene Daily Moisture renewal Shampoo and Conditioner. (Make sure you use conditioner.)Shampoo brands?
PANTENE IS BETTER!!! TO GET RID OF FRIZZ YOU SHOULD TRY GARNIER SMOOTHING MILK BEFORE YOU BLOW DRY OR STYLE YOUR HAIR. ( AVAILABLE AT ANY DRUG STORE)
pantene is way better. if you have frizzy hair you can tell.its not straight its very static looking
Sunsilk. Pantene contains alcohol, which is really bad for hair and skin-
    PANTENE
sunsilk is a waste of your $$$ go with pantene or try john frieda products
For frizzy hair which tends to be poofy and harsh feeling really like staticy is what frizzy feels like but the best shampoo which I found most effective was infusium which is like a heat activated shampoo which cures your hair and helps frizziness and deadness of the hair cuticle! Pantene is a good brand to use as well try to get it for frizzy hair type!
    Pantene! its a lot better
    Neither!

The absolute best is the hot new brand called Organix. It has organic active ingredients and is sulfate free so it wont dry out your hair, plus...it smells awesome! They have different collections for different hair types which are all amazing! You can get Organix at Target, Kroger, Albertsons, Duane Reade, Safeway, Winn-Dixie, etc.

    .
i go to cosmetolgy schools.and actually all that stuff on the shelves really suck...go with redken...its alittle more but when i started using it you can tell a big difference..
pantente is the all time best....i color my hair every 3 weeks and my hair is in great shape!

Drug store shampoo brand that is good for your hair?

I have short hair and it's recently become dry. The salon I go to told me that the shampoo brand I've been using for years is BAD for your hair because of the high ph. I can't afford the expensive salon brands and want to know if there is a drugstore brand that i could use that is good for my hair. I've also stopped shampooing everyday and only shampoo every other day. This seems to help a little. Any advice would be appreciated. :-) Thanks!Drug store shampoo brand that is good for your hair?
I agree with Amber Marie; some of the salon brands last a really long time. With the economic times being the way they are, I also tried scaling back, but found myself spending about the same. I've used, and highly recommend, the Nexxus hydrating conditioner. You can now get it salons AND supermarkets. It's a little expensive, but it will last you almost 4 times as long as a bottle of generic the same size (and I have waist-long hair!).

If that is still more than you want to spend, try INFUSIUM moisturising conditioner. It's great and about $7 a bottle at Walmart.

One thing I do when my hair gets dry, is skip the shampoo every other day, but wash with JUST conditioner on the in-between-days. The conditioner will help get the dirt out while keeping your hair moisturized.

Good luck =)Drug store shampoo brand that is good for your hair?
Salon shampoo actually costs about the same amount as drugstore shampoo, deending on the brand that you buy. Because it is made with better ingredients you only have to use half the amount that you would use of a drugstore brand, so it lasts twice as long, evening out the overall price. But, if you must use a drugstore brand, use Aussie. It is the ONLY shampoo that won't strip out your hairs natural health (all other brands are too harsh) and it is also the only brand that will not leave a waxy film around the outside of your hair. It is made with better and more natural ingredients, and they don't add all of the wax for texture, so if you must go drugstore, go Aussie. If they don't have it for some reason, know that Pantene is the absolute worst and Suave is the next worst! Garnier would be second place to Aussie if they don't have it, but the most likely will.
herbal essene is nice for a cheap shampoo.

What's the best shampoo brand to straighten my hair?

I have black, wavy hair. It gets frizzy a lot and it's really annoying. I've tried some brands, but they just make it worse. Do you have recommendation based on your own experience? What's the best shampoo brand to straighten my hair?
    Hi,

I would take a look at the ghd hair product range, they help care and maintain you hair and help you keep you hair manageable, you should also take a look at there hair straighteners, i have a pair and they are great, and i got 4 free gifts to help you make the most of your hairs potential. Take a look for your self at www.ghdhairproducts.co.ukWhat's the best shampoo brand to straighten my hair?
use a shampoo for frizzy or volumised hair :) should work
Joico(K-pak), abba(3 min miracle), pantene pro-V. But I honestly have found that its not the shampoo thats makes much difference, it's related more to the conditioner and the type of straightening serum that I use. My favorite is ';skinny'; by Paul Mitchell.
    Sunsilk straighten up.

It takes a few days to work.

I started using it and i didn't even have to straighten my hair.

it was a bit less wavy at first and its getting less the more i use it.

    there is also sunsilk de-frizz.

    ^_^

you an buy them at wal*mart (thats where i got mine)

but heres the list of all of the sunsilk thingys ^_^

What the best shampoo brand for extremely fuzzy, curly hair?

I have terrible fuzzy hair and have not been able to find a shampoo that will help. Any suggestions? What the best shampoo brand for extremely fuzzy, curly hair?
Well first off, avoid any cheap shampoos/conditioners becuse they contain a lot of alcohol and sulfate, which are cheap fillers, and cause drying and frizz. Try the Paul Mitchell smoothing line, or the CHI shampoo/treament (conditioner). What the best shampoo brand for extremely fuzzy, curly hair?
Curly hair tends to be drier than straight hair so what you need to concentrate on is moisturizing. Most shampoos have detergents in them that strip the natural oils out of your hair and and make it dry and frizzy. A good solution is to only shampoo your hair once a week or whenever you think it feels dirty. When you take a shower, get your hair wet, then apply conditioner and let it sit for awhile. Rinse it out gently- don't pull or scrub your hair. Towel dry it gently as well- don't stretch it or wring it out. Apply some gel or whatever styling product you use and let your hair go into it's natural curling pattern. If you try to fight the curls, they will break up and you will get frizz. Never brush curly hair, or you will have a huge mess!

I've been doing this method for several years and my hair is so much healthier and shinier. I get compliments on my curls all the time. When I do shampoo my hair, I use a small amount and I only use it on my scalp and my roots to take care of styling product build-up.
You can try herbal essences; I use it and it works great! It smells good too. :)

    Good luck!
garnier fructis. you can pick you the kind you want.
I will suggest the John Frieda collection. Not only does it straighten hair , but it gives it a glassy shine. Also it is not greasy

What Indian shampoo brand is best to control hairfall?

I already have short hair and the hairfall makes me look horrible! Please help! Only recommend those that you've used yourself; not hearsay. I live in a non-metro city, so don't suggest foreign brands. What Indian shampoo brand is best to control hairfall?
well, for me dove worked out far better than anything else.. but wat works for me not work for u coz the hair, just lik skin in unique to its owner... i wud suggest going natural is the best coz in the long run, it prevents greys, dandruff n spilt ends, also good on the eyes.. if ur a workin woman, yea, a chemical shampoo wud do the trick due to time constraints on the weekdays. weeknds or weneva u hav tim u can either use meera shikakai powder, or better still, do the foll:

use gram flour as a base, mix leaves of neem (prevents dandruff n lice), curry leaves, hibiscus(both prevent greyin n facilitates new growth),a bit of tulsi(disinfectant again),a bit of pudina (keeps d scalp cool), aloevera(acts lik conditioner)..u can either use fresh leaves or dried n powderd 1z.. to the mix, u can also add hibiscus flowers (white color is top priority), curds, a bit of dhaniya (corainder seeds), methi(fenugreek) in small quantities wchs is prev soaked n softend in milk (to cool d scalp), tea decoction, mehendi leaf or powder... i generally make a paste n apply as a hair pack...its nt a rule dat u shud add ALL of these, u can make a paste of anythn dats avail... plain simple gram flour w/o anythn added also is a natural cleanser.

keep the pack for abt 15mins-1/2n hr on pre oiled hair, wash it off with luke warm water...the besan(gram flour) will help in removin oil.. its not necessary to shampoo hair later bt in the beginin stages, anybdy who doesnt hav experience will b unable to wash off the paste compltly, such cases, meera powder or shampoo can b used..

u can also use rita as a conditioner irrespectiv of how u wash ur hair. it facilitates growth n strenght of fine hair, n prevents spilt ends... u can eithr grind rita @ d mill or boil it whole so dt it softens n grind after cool... this paste can b applied to hair after a wash n bring to lather n wash ... shampooing again , not necessry..

while usin all these ingredients, even d best washed hair will haves som residue of flour or the fiber of rita stickin on.. will fall off while brushin the hair after it dries..

PS:shikakai n rita is avail in so calld 'temple stores'...What Indian shampoo brand is best to control hairfall?
1st of all....keep this in ur mind that..what worked for others wont work for you.., cuz you might be having different quality of hair than what i have..., so best is..u go to some hair speciality n find out what suits best for ur kind of hair.

    for my hair ';pantin'; suits.

But if ur going through serious hair fall..then i 'ld say..try Ayurveda based shampoo..., cuz if it wont work..it atleast wont damage ur hair more.., cuz triale n error ..may have worst effect on ur hair.
frankly felicia, if u really want to control your hairfall u have to go with foreign brands somehow. but I m suggesting u. U can go for loreal n there is matrix biolage named shampoo available in good profssional salons.N if not working than go with ramdeo baba hair treatment products.
See none of shampoo can stop hairfall, shampoo just cleane the scalpe so it don't get infected ,hairfall have many reason leak of nutritional diet, hereditary or any skip infection etc
Head %26amp; Shoulders is the by far the best shampoo as i know....

It keeps your hair smooth, and even controls dandruff and hair fall...
USE NIMA HAIR OIL.ITS VERY GOOD AND ITS MADE FROM PURE COCONUT OIL THAT IS GOOD FOR YOUR HAIR.

RUB IT IN YOUR SCALP EVERY MORNING AND EVENING.

maybe sunsilk ?Hello!i have dry hair.how can i make it soft.suggest me some shampoo brands please!!!?
My hair tends to dry out after straightening it. But I really recommend the Pantene Pro-V brand (smooth and straight or the ice shine really work for me) It's really thick conditioner so it's best for moisturizing. Just leave it in for like 15 minutes and voila! My hair feels instantly hydrated.
Apply warm coconut oil on your hairs, leave it overnite %26amp; before bathing wrap your head with hot towel for 10mins. wash with loreal frizzy , apply conditioner %26amp; once in a month u can apply fenugreek seeda paste on your head, it works. Good luck.
I believe Shampoo does nothing for hair being soft. I have long very thick hair, thats really curly slash frizzy. But when I wear it straight its shinny and soft. However that was not always the case. Make sure that you are using a thick Conditioner. You don't have to go out and spend a lot of money on Conditioner... just make sure it's a thick one. Some good ones are pantene, even though hair stylist say it's bad, bc of buildup.... you really won't notice unless you use lots of products in your hair (like if your hair is curly and you use multiple products and lots of hair spray). Aussie has a new condtioner out called Hair Insurance its in a new skinny bottle. Stay away from thinner conditioners like Suave, and Charles worthington. Also the heat you put on your hair makes a big differnce even if you use the fancy tools. Try not to blow dry your hair everyday. Also watching your hair everyday dries it out. Try every other day. And if your hair gets greasy within that one day, you can put baby power in your roots and rub it in, it absorbs the powder and you won't be able to see it.
Basically no shampoo can cure this. Heavily load your hair with parachute oil one night before you shampoo and put Fiama di wills or garnier fructis shine. You can also use clinic plus ayurvedic if uve not coloured your hair. But make sure you use a hair moisturiser like mrs.marino or livon.

DO NOT STRAIGHTEN YOUR HAIR AS IT WILL CAUSE TERRIBLE DAMAGE. if you apply oil on daily basis USE ONLY ALMOND OIL.

    cheers,

    anne
i too have dry hairs i use shampoo from Loreal`s Osmose
i would say nexxus moisturizing line of shampoo and conditioner is very good at adding high moisture to your hair. i think any brand that has a line just for moisture iS good for your hair but you just need to consistency. i think herbal essence is also good if you don't want to go too pricey with nexxus. also sunsilk has a good line as well, pretty cheap. and last is probably gonna go to TRESemme. lol that's the ticket.
You should try K-pak from Joico. You can get it at any salon. It comes in Shampoo and Conditioner and a treatment mask. It is the best for dry hair. It restores the moisture, and helps make the hair more pH balanced.
use satinque hair conditioner after any shampoo
There is ONE product that I have found works amazingly well for everyone's hair that is not expensive!

    Neutrogena Triple Moisturizing Conditioner.

then shampoo once to rinse off..

if you do this regularly, you'll have BEAUTIFUL, soft,

  • Which of these shampoo brands are best?

i have OILY wavy frizzy hair.

    aussie

    garnier fructis

    head and shoulders

etc.Which of these shampoo brands are best?
Aussie! Drugstore shampoos and conditioners are cheap for a reason. They are full of harsh chemicals that strip color and natural oils from your hair and cause damage. They are also full of wax the coats the outside of the hair shaft. But out of these Pantene is the absolute worst and Suave is next. They use the most wax and the harshest chemicals. If you must use a drugstore brand use Aussie. They use natural ingredients instead of all the chemicals and wax.Which of these shampoo brands are best?
I use garnier fructis for dry, rebellious and oily hair i think it is. It works quite well, and Herbal Essences is also pretty good too. You just need to pick the one for oily and frizzy hair. Most well known shampoos out there have combination shampoos and conditioners for people with different hair problems like oily and frizzy e.t.c. Also, if you brush your hair often, that makes it both oilier and frizzier. I brush my hair through with a comb when i put conditioner in it so it doesn't get frizzy. And if you wash your hair once a day and it's becoming oily, you could wash it every 2 or 3 days as well. Good luck :)
none. pantene pro v moisture renewal. it keeps my hair shiny and non-frizzy. i also have wavy hair but i straighten mine every day and the shampoo helps to not show the damage. hope i helped!
Aussie, it has more natural based products in it and has less harsh chemicals that strip your hair.
I suggest Aussie. Patene Pro V I heard makes it oily after a while. Try Herbal Essences too.
you should try some shampoo from herbal essences
    i like fructis

    it smells nice

I heard u should switch shampoo brands every 3 months.?

I am currently using Mane 'n Tail. I would need a shampoo and conditioner for weak, brittle, thin hair. (A hair that brings out your color would get you a thumbs up =1 point 4 u)I heard u should switch shampoo brands every 3 months.?
It is not necessary at all to change your shampoo brand every 3 months. If you want a shampoo that helps bring out your colour, John Frieda shampoos/conditioners are absolutely fabulous. To make hair less brittle %26amp; weak, for starters, I would suggest getting it cut. This may sound really nasty, but combing mayonaise through your hair, and leaving it one for 20-30 minutes, then washing it out, with make your hair look amazing. A home fix for thinckening hair is celery juice. Chop up a handful of it, mix it in the blender, then strain the juice from the pulp and massage in to wet hair%26amp;scalp. Leave it on for an hour, then rinse %26amp; shampoo. Do this once a week, and you will actually feel as if you have more hair.I heard u should switch shampoo brands every 3 months.?
The skin of our head produces oil which is best for our hair but the environmental elements like bacteria, fungus etc. reacts with the upper layer of our head skin which pollutes the oil and makes our head itchy... shampoo and conditioners are artificial chemicals which are rarely balanced for our hair. But we don't have a choice... it may be good to use different shampoos in a cyclic order but the type of shampoo we choose does matter... don't be harsh on your hair... Take care... (^_^)
Shampoo's and conditioner's create a 'build up' after so long. Changing them for a just a short time rectifys this. Try the 'John Frieda' range, it's for all types of hair; there are blonde, brunette and red ranges ... excellent for enhancing colour. Alternate between this (or whichever you decide on) and your regular brand every few months.
Its weird but I seem to believe that after a while the shampoo that I am using is not effective anymore. So I usually switch it after a few months. I go between Garnier and Dove and Herbal Essence.
    try garnier
    bologna
Thats true but if you find one that works w/your hair stck w/it...
I use at least 2 different brands thru the 'cycle' of bottles.. (if that makes sense) then switch whenever they run out... so lots of bottles in my shower... have you tried the L'Oreal professional series? also, the new Herbal Essence line smells delish! there are so many for all types of hair and color! that's what I do!
i do the same as shy gurl
Dumb.. I use Head and Shoulders for like 20 years; no issues
Its true, my hair dresser tells me to switch also.. You hair gets use to the same product after a while and you no longer see or get the results you want.. I switch off between pantene but i really like Treseme products.. Try not to blow dry or use heat products too much on your hair, this could be the reason for weak and brittleness. Get a good trim every 2-3 months. Have you ever tried a leave in conditioning treatment, Pantene has one they come in little packages and don't cost more than a few dollars, they leave my hair feeling soft and rejuvenated. try it.

Concentrated strawberry scented salon shampoo, what's the brands name?

I'm trying to track down the brand that makes a concentrated strawberry scented shampoo. I believe it's at least $20 dollars. I think it is for dry color treated hair, and it comes in a very small bottle.Concentrated strawberry scented salon shampoo, what's the brands name?
The only strawberry scented shampoo that I know of on the market is Strawberry Milk Shake all-in-one shampoo and body by Philosophy other than that I have no clue.Hope this helpsConcentrated strawberry scented salon shampoo, what's the brands name?
There are a million products out there that smell like fruit that are around $20 in salons. Did u try to ask the salon u got it from.

What kind of shampoo brand would be good for hair that gets oily quickly?

Right now I use Down Under Naturals Volumizing Shamoo+conditioner.. (:

i like it, especially since it's biodegradeable + not tested on animals.

Anyways, are their brands that are meant to give more moisture (for dead ends) then to clean?

What brands should I avoid using? What kind of shampoo brand would be good for hair that gets oily quickly?
Hey, my hair is like that too. I use Aussie, clense and mense. Its a purple bottle %26amp; it works pretty good. =)What kind of shampoo brand would be good for hair that gets oily quickly?
i have hair that gets oily quickly too. There really isn't a specific shampoo that slows down the process of hiar getting oily. All shampoo's get the oil and dirt out of your hair so to prevent having oily hair you have to shower once a day. Alos, avoid using conditioner if your hair is theat oily it doesn't need conditioner. Lastly, don't put your fingers through your hair often as your fingers absorb a lot of grease and dirt. As for ghetting biodegradable products and animal friendly products there is usually a number on the back of shampoo's that you could try and call. or you could try reading the information on the back.

Btw, all mousturizing shampoo's clean the hair as well as mousturize
I would definitely suggest you keep using a volumizing shampoo, but maybe skip the conditioner (at least every other time you wash). The conditioner is meant to add moisture to your hair, and will just make it go oily quicker. I would also avoid adding any sprays or other products in your hair, as once again, they will just make it more oily.

    What are some shampoo brands?

my friend asked me if i can find shampoo brands for her.. plz helpWhat are some shampoo brands?
herbal essences is my favorite, it keeps your hair smelling nice, and soft! i usually then follow it by beautiful lengths conditioner by PanteneWhat are some shampoo brands?
Depends on how much you wanna spend. I like all Bed Head products from salons, they work great and smell so good. Paul Mitchell is good as well, I found that spending a little more on hair products makes a world of difference. It also depends on type of hair you have so you can choose the right type of shampoo.

I have really split ends, dry hair, its long, color treated, thick, and it gets really frizzy! I have been using panteen prov beautiful lengths but that just isn't enough for my hair. Does anyone know of a better brand (if there is one) that i can buy at walmart?

thanks a bunch!!What is a really good (cheap) shampoo brand that i can buy at walmart?
Herbal Essences makes my hair frizzy, but Dove only makes it soft, no damage repair.

Try TRESemme. The big bottles are really cheap, and salons use it. You could also try Suave Professionals, it works better than the plain one. What is a really good (cheap) shampoo brand that i can buy at walmart?

I like sunsilk brand for different problems...shoot what is the shine one called? anyways go to walmart and there is one to make your hair shiny and it really works and it wont make your hair oily. Sometimes if you have really oily hair it helps to put some baking soda in your hands with shampooo and then shampo with it like normal. idk why but it helps, and if you have oily hair but cant take a shower rub some baby powder in you hands then through your hair and then brush it. Hope this helped!

Dog groomers - What shampoo brand do you use at your shop or mobile ?

I really like coat handler..however, my supplier was out of it a couple of months ago so I ordered a brand called Wild Animal in the HypoClear flavor. we love it. It's 50:1 (no Bull) and it's tearless. It cleans very well and doesn't make a mountain of suds in my hydrosurge. It's around $25 per gallon. Cheaper than coat handler.Dog groomers - What shampoo brand do you use at your shop or mobile ?
I personally like the natural shampoos from PetAgree grooming supply. They smell good for days after.................but where i work, they supply my shampoo so I dont have a say. They are all prescription vet shampoos from a vet supply and they are good. Some made for dry skin, some allergy, some medicated, etc. They just dont smell as good. There are so many shampoos out there, your best bet is to just keep trying them until you find one you like.
I like *some* of Show Season's products, but not all. Their *super stinky* is a waste of money. I really like Pet Silk products, and haven't found one yet that I'm unhappy with. We also use a few of the Espree products (whitening and blackening) and I really like them as well. I've never used Island of Dogs or quadrupet.
Well, I'm not a groomer but I have lots of grooming experience prepping dogs for show %26amp; also my own Afghan, Chinese Cresteds %26amp; Pom. I use Vellus %26amp; Chris Christensen for the most part but I also like Pet Silk (They have a finishing topknot gel that is awesome!)

Well, a good shampoo and conditioner as have been rated by many consumer seems to be Dove. In testing, Dove shampoos have been proven to clean hair well just as well as expensive salon shampoos. And Dove shampoos have a nice scent. Herbal Essence is probably bad, Suave and VO5.
Any shampoo and/or conditioner that contains sulfates/sulfites are bad for you hair; especially if it is colored treated.
Well a stylist told me that Pantene is not good for your hair especially the color as it somehow strips it.

What is the best and safest cat shampoo brand?

I was told that different coat colors need different kind of shampoo. I also heard that a good cat shampoo is the one that is made only for cats, not for cats and dogs. Is it true? I have a silver Persian cat, so what's the best and safest brand?

I live outside the US, so not every brand is available in my place. What is the best and safest cat shampoo brand?
I'd give my Vet a call- they probably sell some kinds there or can recommend a brand. When I needed to hurry up and give my cat a bath one time, my Vet said baby shampoo was fine. That makes sense because it's so gentleWhat is the best and safest cat shampoo brand?
Persians are wonderful cats, aren't they?

Cats should not be bathed too often. They groom themselves, although Persians seem to often forget that! It can dry them out too much and also lead to more shedding and more matting, particularly with that Persian double coat!

The best grooming is brushing for a Persian. If you find that you have one that does not clean their feet, face or butt, you can address those specific areas instead of bathing the entire cat.

For feet, those wipes they make for babies work great. Brush the feet to remove any loose litter and then wipe with those wipes until clean. Take a clean cloth with just water and wipe off any of the cleaner. Although the cleaner is safe, the taste may discourage kitty from grooming her feet. Leaving them wet will encourage her to groom them dry.

For face, they make some wonderful NATURAL cleaners. You can get them in towels, drops, pads, just about anything. I like the towels for persians so you can get into those little crevices by the face.

For the butt, I use a hygeine clip. I shave the butt area close and about 1-2'; up the tail. This gets those fluffy butts clear of the potty mess. Baby wipes also work there, again, washing off with damp towel. But I suggest drying the butt as much as possible, no one like a wet booty.

Groom kitty daily, her fur will stay wonderfully clean and silky. At most I bathe my Persians twice a year with this maintenance.
Depending on where you live perhaps you can get Dawn Dishwashing Liquid? It is safe and effective for cats and even kittens as well as being inexpensive. It is also an effective flea killer and deterrent.

  • What is the best blue-toner shampoo brand to buy for lightened hair?

Ive heard so much about blue-toner shampoos to reduce brassiness in lightened hair, but other than shimmer lights by clairol (about which i can only find reviews by people with grey hair), I havent heard any brands mentioned.

What brands would you recomend for horse shampoo, conditoner, spray on conditoner, etc. (for a horse show)?

I am doing a hunter show and I want to know what works best! What brands would you recomend for horse shampoo, conditoner, spray on conditoner, etc. (for a horse show)?
Mane and Tail is probably your cheapest option. Farnam products work great. You can't beat Quicksilver for white (this is what I use on my paints that are mostly white and I constantly have judges asking me how I get my paints so white!). And Pantene is the best conditioner and the scent lasts. Don't use just any human shampoos and conditioners though, horse skin has a different pH then ours and can be irritated by some human soaps. What brands would you recomend for horse shampoo, conditoner, spray on conditoner, etc. (for a horse show)?
Well I just use people shampoo and conditioner, or mane n tail. What ever I have. As for a conditioner spray I use Pepi spray, it works great! (for the mane and tail). I wouldnt use the Pepi spray on the legs because it attracts dust. As for the body I use Absorbine body shine. Thats all I can think of for now.

Mane and Tail. IT gives a beautiful shine!
i would use mane and tail it works great it even smells good!
most places that sell horse stuff sell shampoo for horses [which is low sud and specially formulated for horses]

there are a lot to choose from depending on the colour of your horse..then there is the main and tail conditioner..go easy if you are planing on plaiting
Just go to walmart and get the cheapest shampoo/conditioner you can find in the bath section.
Depends on the color of the horse. If it's not a grey, or paint with a lot of white on it, I like Orvus because it's inexpensive, and takes just a very small amount to make lots of lather. Now, for a grey or anything with lots of white, I love Farnam white'n'brite....with just a touch of Mrs Smith's blueing thrown in. Lather them up well, let them set for about 5-10 minutes, then rinse WELL. If you don't, you'll wind up with a bluish horse. Now, for conditioner, I like the cowboy magic detangler and shine, although if you're wanting to braid, it may make things just a little slick for you to work with. Great stuff though. You work it in, comb through the hair, then after that, until they get dirty again, the comb/brush just glides through. Love that stuff.
    mane %26amp; tail

Alternating between different brands of shampoo/conditioner?

Is it more effective to alternate between different brands of shampoo/conditioner daily, weekly, or monthly? Or is it better to just stick with one brand but use an anti-residue shampoo once a week?

thanks :)Alternating between different brands of shampoo/conditioner?
i would just alternate whenever you run out of one kindAlternating between different brands of shampoo/conditioner?
It depends on if you really like the way your hair is with the first shampoo/conditioner or if you think that a different shampoo/conditioner could do more.

EX. If you want to make your hair straighter:

get a shampoo/conditioner that says it will help keep hair straight.

But don't alternate shampoo/conditioner too ofter. I would let the bottle run out and then decide if you want more volume, shine, hydration, or less frizz and less dandruff.

It all depends on how your hair reacts to the certain brand because everyone wants/needs something different.
I use different shampoo's and conditioners all the time. The main thing to look at is if it is right for your hair ex.. normal , dry. oily . permed or color treated . Otherwise try whatever you like when you like. Also if you use alot of product an anti residue shampoo can be used once a week or just take apple vinegar and rinse it thru and that does the same job.
i would say if you wanted to alternate, do it once you run out of what you have. although i dont know why you would. if you find a shampoo/conditioner combo that works well and leaves your hair nice, why change it? iv tried to switch mine up but nothing iv used works as well as what i do

i use head and shoulders volume and aussie deep in 3 min conditions fyi
it is better to stick with one brand of shampoo and conditioner. but if you haven't found the brand that fits you best you should alternate brands every month, or until the shampoo and conditioner run out.
well i know that its better to alternate different brands. i would alternate every month. i recommend PANTENE ice

  • What Indian shampoo brand is best to control hairfall?

Hair and care - hair fall defence mechanism
    dove shampoo
    L'Oreal

    the best......
    dove shampoo is the best.
i cant tell u that bt i can sure tell u tat pantene truly isnt!!! dnt ever use tat or u will end up with no hair at all!!!
